Muted A boy of brave heart snatched the morning star from its deep walking sleep about the time bronze church bells chimed for prayers and bread and kept it secret under his tongue so that none look with cruel envy and steal the bright burning stone though it raged with the fire of a thousand ovens and made his eyes water and tongue badly blister but still he lightly skimmed through tough grass and soft mud to reach his beloved and shine piercing light into her unseeing eyes that she might look into his devoted heart but for her sight he gave instead she never hearing how he loved her more than life. ♥
